Hello, I was wondering if you could help

      >>I have table data in a csv file (with pages) https://oi63.tinypic.com/27yr328.jpg
      >>I have a table in indesign – which I want all this data to be exported too (on one page) https://oi63.tinypic.com/2d0nmub.jpg

When data merging it merges it all of the same information in the table. I want this information seperate – know what Im saying? https://oi68.tinypic.com/2jfja8l.jpg

How do I create a data merge whereby if I update the CSV (or excel file – which would be nicer) it reflects that in the indesign file?

      Thanking you in advance

      Hi,

Datamerge is unable to deal with table the way you would expect. Datamerge suits mainly for businees cards and stuff, not tables. You can find some free script that can populate a table based on the csv data but you may also consider automation plugins sucha as EasyCatalog.

      EasyCatalog

      thankyou so much for helping

      Hi

It has a cost indeed but you have to balance it in regards to the time you may spend getting all your project done, data updated and error fixed.

Yes the free script i was talking about is the provided link. However it’s an old tool that might not work in current CC apps.
