      Hi everyone,

Please excuse me if this question has been asked before (heck, I may have even asked this before myself).

Is it possible to select all objects in a document that share the same style (object, character, paragraph, etc.)?

You can find similar objects on the same spread with a plug-in such as likefindslike: https://www.rorohiko.com/wordpr…..findslike/

But you cannot select objects on different spreads at the same time. Limitation of InDesign. You can use find/change to change objects throughout a document.

      Thanks David.

My problem is that I have logos from various brands littered throughout my catalog. In the future if I want to make every instance of Logo X slightly smaller, I want to be able to do so without having to click on every single one, one-by-one.

Sad realization. Looks like the plug-in you suggested does not work on anchored objects. :(

What program was it that would let you clone an item then every time you did any changes to the master item all the clones would update.

@mckayk Sounds like the behaviour of a symbol in Illustrator and Flash, I may be wrong though

@ jimmy perhaps a better workflow for such logos would be to use them as placed illustrator files, then at least you could amend the external placed file and simply update it in the ID document

find and replace can be very powerful as David mentions too

Do you need to make the frame smaller, or would it do to make the image smaller within the frame? Because if it's the latter then you could maybe try changing the Frame Fitting Options in the object style?

Would it be possible to find anchored objects and replace with contents of clipboard (whereon you'd have a logo of the proper size)? If you have anchored objects that are not logos, you'd have to look at each one, but it would still be faster than selecting each by hand.
