    Is it possible to save out JPGs from InDesign with a custom naming convention for each page with the ID file <client_XXxXX.jpg>. My ID file has multiple page sizes and the JPGs are web banners that need to note each ad size in the file name. I wonder if GREP is appropriate for this?

    No, GREP is for finding text patterns. It doesn’t have anything to do with images or scripting.
    You can already export each page as a JPG using File > Export. Often it’s easier to export all the jpegs and then batch rename them after they’re exported. For example, on the Mac you can use the Rename feature:
