      Hi !

I hope you’ll understand my pb. Each spread has two pages. I need to have the same page number on each page :
      So it gives me :
      1-1 (on page 2-3)
      2-2 (on page 4-5)
      etc.

I can do it with numbers section but it forces me to sets each spread and i have more than 1400 spreads…
I can do it with creating a paragraph style and specify a particular named list (https://creativepro.com/setting-up-numbered-lists-that-jump-frames-in-cs3.php). This actually what i’m doing now but i have to break each page numbers from the master page to make it work.

Im wondering if there is a better way to do it ? :/

      Thanks !

      You sure can

On the master page – thread two text frames – one on the left master page, and one on the right master page.

On the left page. Type>Insert Special Character>Markers>Current Page Numer

insert a page break to bring you to the frame on the right.

Type> Insert Special Characters>Marker>Previous Page Number

Here’s a file to get you started

      Thanks !

I should have say that but it’s the first thing I’ve tried.
But as you can see, we get 2-2, 4-4, 6-6… It’s problematic.

      I’m looking for 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, etc.

Oh jeez I blame the early morning start! That’s is an instant problem…

I’ve got another idea. But my Indesign won’t open after I updated. So I’ll be back.

This article should tell you how to do that. https://creativepro.com/create-spread-numbers.php.
The article goes for one side of the document but can be set up on both sides.
