      Hi there

I am trying to embed a video in a document then export via ‘publish online’. In the interactive PDF the video only shows when triggered but with the publish online version it shows from the start. Have tried mp4 and flv files to see if any difference but seems the same.

Anyone else had any problems with this?

I am having a related issue. In publishing online I found adding my own buttons for stop and start to help with controlling the video but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the video to fill the screen. Even using the controller there’s no ability to trigger it to enlarge.

I have read that mp4 works for best for publish online. And conversely there’s an option to add URL but that has to be flash and I have no idea how or where to add flash docs online to get them to play in the doc (not vimeo, I’m pretty sure).

So… perhaps more questions than answers here.

I just found this article: https://creativepro.com/tip-of-the-week-including-youtube-videos-interactive-documents.php

Perhaps this will help you. I’m trying to make it work too.

I know this is an old thread, but adding some details in case someone else finds it.

I believe the issue is that several browsers don’t support autoplaying media until the user has interacted with the page.

That’s particularly hard when the media is on the first page.

This security restriction can be avoided by muting video to start (which the user can unmute). I don’t believe this is possible with Publish Online.

I cover it in more detail in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGQ2qXiq8RY
