Packaging – External plug ins

      This is my first post, hope someone out there can help!

      Does anyone know of a way you can package an InDesign file without including the external plug in information? I send a lot of documents to printers and the if you run the normal package function then anyone without the external plug in cannot open the file. Obviously I can't supply the external plug in with the packaged InDesign document for licensing reasons.

      Please help!

      Send them an InX file or a IDML file

      File Export and choose Indesign Interchange

      or a InDesign Markup Language (CS4 only)

      Note that if they open the document in an earlier version or newer version of InDesign the text may reflow and cause undesireable effects.
