Mysterious right curly bracket

      I’m been working on a math book where all the math formulas are created directly in InDesign. A few weeks ago a weird thing started to happen to some fractions: a black right curly bracket appears out of nowhere over the whole fraction (and disappears if a space is place before the numerator within the little box containing the fraction)… As a template of that fraction is kept in a library, I figured that something got corrupted in there and I recreated the template. Same problem. I recreated the library. The same. I’ve tried everything I could think of; it doesn’t appear every time, but often enough to be a serious annoyance.

      Any idea where an unwanted character can appear in such a specific spot? Can I inlude an image in this forum?

      No idea, but if you put a link up to the file and how to recreate the issue I’ll happily take a look.

      I know there was a similiar post but it was about a plug-in for recipes. The poster determined it was a problem with the plug-in.

      Perhaps it’s a plug-in issue with you as well (I’m taking it you are using a math one).

        That is very odd, Monsetta. I can clearly see it in the PDF, but it doesn’t appear in the ID file.

      Ha! Just read the post about the plug-in and, would you know it, I have installed the Recipe Design Wizard plug-in (haven’t used it yet) and the problem started at about the same time… I’ll remove it and see if the problem is gone (until the writer of the app can tell me how to correct the problem).
