      Hi all. First time poster.

I am trying to do an example Funeral Service sheet. Initial set-up selected A5 and 4 facing pages with 5mm margins.

When I print it on my Xerox WorkCentre 6027, the right margin is wider then the left.

I’ve tried everything I know so far and still I can’t solve it. On screen it looks fine.

When producing A5 flyers on landscape A4 i.e. 2 per page, they print off perfectly.

Any ideas anyone? It’s driving me bonkers!!!!

      Many thanks in anticipation

      Regards

As a test, try exporting to PDF. If the margins are OK on the PDF, it may be the driver or a setting on your printer.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried everything. Export to PDF then print as a booklet in Adobe reader. Print as a booklet in InDesign itself, nothing appears to work.

Could end up going back to using MS Publisher for certain things.

May take the pdf to my local print shop and see what it comes out like on a digital press.

Can InDesign not do the basic stuff using a home printer?

I assume the margins were correct on the PDF. ID usually prints well to any printer. Why don’t you zip up the file and send it to me at crych at telus dot net.

It seems your page size in Printer Setup is different than the one in InDesign. Try changing the printer page-size. Secondly, If you’re getting wider spaces on the right, it shows your page size is Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches) not A4. Please check this out.
