Is there a script or plugin to clean text from extra spaces, extra paragraphs, or we still have to do manually via find and replace?

  I use a plug-in called Multi-Find/Change https://www.automatication.net/index.php?id=24. This way you can create as many search and replaces that you need and then save them easily. I use this to clean up all my documents and have 100s of search and replaces.

  It accomplishes 17 or so common text cleanups, and won’t harm styled paragraphs.
