Linking numbers on a map

Dear people of Indesignsecrets,
Im bussy making a map. On the map, there are different numbers that refer to a list with company's, so you can see where they are located in the country.
The only problem is, sometimes i have to remove a company, or add one… Then i have to re do the numbering on the map by hand.
There must be a solution to do it automaticly and i hope you guys can help me out!
