      Hi people,

I have this book that has many Headings and it needs to be exported to kindle. These Headings, even if they have the Keep with next option checked in InDesign, are going to be hanging alone at the bottom of some of the pages in kindle. Does anyone know how to fix this in InDesign or in ePub? Thanks a lot in advance.

In your parastyle click “split document” in the export tagging>export details options.

Thanks! That option takes the Heading to the next page. I don’t want that, I want to have both Heading and the text after on the same page, no matter the position in page.

If it’s a reflowable epub then it’s not going to be possible in every situation to avoid breaks where you don’t want them (due to the very nature of readers and user preferences).
That being said, I would suggest trying a workaround. Apply the same Paragraph style to your header for the epub (as the body text that comes after it with your keep options) and then use a character style to change the header to your design. See what happens.

Thanks, Steve! Tried that, didn’t work or maybe I’m not doing something right. Thanks a lot, I think I’ll find somebody to make this in Word – apparently, it works there.

I would love to know how, as the keep options are in the CSS of the ebook.
When you find it, Let me know!

Sure. The client is looking for a person to help them, I’m also curious how this will be fixed.

I did a test and it worked.
