    Starting yesterday, ID has been hanging whenever I try to open files.

    This affects both ID 2018 and ID 2019.

    I have deleted preferences. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ID 2019. I have rebooted.

    I have uninstalled the update of MS Office from yesterday, and another program I installed yesterday. I installed Kindle Create yesterday, and it won’t uninstall.

    What else can I try?

    Can you create a new InDesign file?

    It could be a font problem – try to remove the fonts, and try again.
    If a font used in your doks is corrupt, InDesign crashes.

    It was an Adobe problem with Illustrator & InDesign that got fixed after a few hours of PANIC!

    Looks like it was interaction between Extensis Fusion and Adobe Fonts and duplicated fonts.

    Please explain what you did! I’m desperate for a solution to my issue, and it’s probably related.
    Due to Covid 19, I needed to work on my home computer. I logged out of Adobe Cloud at work, logged in at home, and Indesign kept freezing up. Other Adobe products worked fine. I don’t recall what I did, but it began working fine after a day or two.
    Now I’m back at my office and the same thing is happening!
    I just quite Suitcase Fusion, and Indesign is still bouncing endlessly, trying to start up.
