InDesign CS5 on pc keeps crashing when I delete items

      I have uninstalled and re-installed software and updates trying to fix the issue. I have saved file under different names. Tried dragging pages into new document.

      Need to delete lots of items on several pages. When I select them and hit delete or backspace the program crashes. Final edits on a project due client today and can't finish!

      I have opened some other files, and this isn't happening in them. Did something yesterday to this one file to cause it to crash, but can't figure out what.

      On a copy of the document, try switching fonts (or convert all to outlines). I would in particular look for a TrueType font that's not found in your other documents. I've also had a similar problem with CS5, albeit on a Mac, which turned out to be a rogue font.

      There's another recent post where Jongware suggests a similar course of action to another member.
