In my new downloaded version of ID 6 text is jumping up or down within text box when I move it’s text box.

I have a single large number in one text box that I’m trying to position precisely, and when I move the box up or down, the number acts like it is trying to snap to something. It’s happening in text boxes with large amounts of copy, too: the text is shifting up or down when I move the box up or down, acting like it is snapping to something, But I can’t figure out what or why.

I don’t have baseline grid activated. I don’t have any “snap to’s” activated. I have no text wraps on any boxes, and no layers of anything above or below this text.

I can’t figure out what feature is causing this but I need to turn it off! Can someone help?

Are you triple-sure that the paragraph does not have Align to Baseline Grid turned on? That sure seems like what it sounds like.

You were right, Dear David! And I learned something new.

That was indeed the problem. Thank you so much.
