      Hey there,

Recently I finished designing a book in InDesign CS5. Everything went well and I 'm really satisfied of the results.

Now I hope that my problem is not that crucial – I desinged the whole book in English, and now I want to change the text on it to Arabic, which is written in the opposite way of English – from the right to left and not from the left to right.

Is there any magical way to change the whole content of the book to become a right to left book? some kind of a one-click-button that I'm not aware of it?

I will mean the world to me.

      Help is really appricieated.

      Thanks a lot!

You can manually do this (certainly not with the single click you were hoping for) but a standard InDesign is not designed to work comfortably with Arabic and other RTL scripts.

For anything more than a single paragraph in RTL scripts (up to and including your 'complete book'), you are far better off with purchasing InDesign ME, a separate version — not an upgrade! — that is targeted specifically at the RTL market.

Right, but you didn't fully understand my request.

I have a finish book in English. I just want to copy-paste into it arabic content (with the same photos, same everything).

It's just that I need to change the order of the back to RTL.

So I need the first cover of the book from the left side, to become at the right side. So the whole book will change its order.

Yes, and having pagination in reverse is an option in InDesign ME — not in InDesign (Regular). What part didn't I understand?

iidoido, there no magical way to do this. in InDesign ME you can design your layout for each English or Arabic on a separate files and don't forget to check Binding option: RtL or LtrR on document setup, depending on your language layout. after that you can combine two layouts design in one layout in Acrobat pro.

Hi iidoido, it is not possible that whole content of the book to become a right to left book in a single click.

IndicPlus – Adobe InDesign Plugin support Right-to-Left & Arabic
