      Hi all,

      How can export 126 designed pages (each page consist of more than 2 text frames not linked) to rich text format or plain text.

      I know i can do this with acrobat after export to PDF, but can i do this inside indesign without select text inside the frame and frame by frame?

      Thanks,

      Rorohiko have a great plug-in called text exporter which does a great job at this.

      You can also try ExportAllStories.jsx, as it comes free with your installation of InDesign.

      The filename it generates is terrible.

      Anyway to custom name or to use the words of the text frame as the file name?

      Word does this automatically when you save a file, using the first few words in the document.

      Thanks, Tim Hughes, Jongware, Eugene Tyson for this informatiom.

      Jongware ExportAllStories.jsx is work well, but it's separate each page of indesign to single text page – unlike Acrobat that export all the document to one rich text format file.

      This is the offending line:

      myFileName = “StoryID” + myID + myExtension;

      … Would you like it to?

      It would better.

      I did this before for a book that someone else set – it took me ages to sort all the RTFs and rename them.

      Even better might be to export all the stories in sequence to a single RTF file :)

      I've tried many plugins and scripts on this in the past (if I recall correctly) and none of them seemed to work very well.

      Text exporter, results in a single rtf file of the whole document
