Even bottom margins across a spread

I want to keep the bottom margins even across spreads and retain the alignment of the body text to the baseline grid. Widow/orphan control and scene breaks often make my bottom margins uneven. I know I can go through the document and correct this manually using a combination of methods, but I was hoping that someone has automated this process with a plugin or script.

No automated way, but you might find some hints in this recent Adobe Forums thread: How can I automatically align the bottoms of two-page spreads in a long novel in CS3?

(You may ignore the “CS3” at the end ;) It's no better in CS4, '5, '5.5 or '6.)

Thanks Jongware. There are a few good tips in there that I can use.

I sure wish Adobe or some plugin author would address this. It seems to me, some software could use the same method I manually use to find the problems and correct them.

      G'day

I've not used it myself — only heard good things about it — but you might take a look at :https://www.typefi.com/index.php/products/typefi-autofit

See if that does what you're looking for.
