Hey folks,
New forum participant here. Working w a team of colleagues in InDesign CC on an EPUB that has some huge high resolution images. We are including the images both in the body of the EPUB and as a gallery at the end. There are a few things that we are trying to do, but just can’t quite figure out:
1. We want to avoid placing full resolution files in the EPUB twice to keep the overall file size down. Is there a way that we can just add the images as a gallery at the end, and use embedded smart objects (or something) to include lower res/smaller files in the body?
2. Then, could we also allow users to view high res images from the body by clicking (perhaps with a lightbox?). We would like for the user to be able to click on the smaller image and see a high res version, but without forcing them to navigate back and forth from a gallery at the end of the EPUB (for instance).
Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Alan
