Love conditional formatting but this one's got my stumped. Fortunaltely I've found a work-around,but I'd still like to know what's going on.
I've created a multiple page document, text box with three columns, threads from page to page. Within the text columns lives a long table, one cell wide but about 100 cells long. I use this as a template which which I cut and paste the cell information into another document. Within the cell is a product title/description/size/etc. The conditonal part is a unique distributor number, there are about seven different sets of numbers. Anyway, this works great as a database for a different sets of documents which I create.
THE PROBLEM IS THIS–When I need to edit one of my conditionally formatted numbers in the first column of the page, the table cells which are in columns two and three disappears. What I have to do to make it reappear is hit the text thread out port box in the lower right corner of my text box–then everything reappears and behaves normally. I don't have to relink the thread, I just have to hit the out port box, I think it sort of wakes it up and refreshes. Sometimes though it will cascade to the next page and things will disappear from that page. I just keep hitting the Out Port box to the end of the document and it seems to fix it.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this, or if my document set-up is too strange to begin with. Maybe there's a better way. :o)
