Hi, I have very complex tables. Over the years I have learned, thanks to the InDesign cohort, that I need many different cell styles to manage this more efficiently. I don’t bother with table styles.

The paragraph styles for these cell styles have no indents or spacing, just the font info.

I thought if I have two generic styles on which the rest are based it would help. These are for cell stroke with fill and cell stroke without fill.

When I base a new cell style on one of these, the specs for stroke are not carried across. Fill is.

And on some other styles where I specify indents, they can disappear too, but it appears to be random.

      WHY?

I can email a file in which I am constructing all these styles if anyone is interested.
