I'm working on a textbook with 17 chapters. The text has been flowed and formatted, so now I need to go back to build the layouts, adding all the illustrations and captions.

Thing is, I realized in ch 1 that I neglected to build the Document Footnote Options before I used that chapter as my master template for the whole book. I tried using the sync options in the book file, keeping my fingers crossed that it would be part of the cross-references checkbox, but no dice.

Is there a script (or a syncing option I'm missing in my book file) that will update the other 16 chapters with the footnote options I've specified in ch 1? Or do I have to update them all by hand? I'm using ID CS4 on a Mac. Thanks in advance for any help!

Don't know how I missed this earlier, but I found this earlier post answering the same question:

Downloaded the script and ran it. Worked like a charm. Thanks again, Jongware!
