Hi,
I have a standard indd brochure with some text panels. This is a daily itinerary, and I want each day to begin with a bit if a heading. However, I am working in a template and the daily itinerary may change length depending on the tour, so I want one long flow, rather than header section, itinerary, repeated.
So I have a long text box and at the start of each day I have two lines in bold text. I want these first two lines to stand out a little bit more, so I made a graphics rectangle frame 8mm height by 4mm wide with a colour fill. I can paste this box on top of the text layer with text wrap so it appears where the first character would be and ‘indents’ the first two lines. It looks ideal.
However, as I said this is a template and so if the text is altered, this colour block doesn’t flow with the text. Instead I want to paste this block inside the text box, so it sticks to the text insert point.
I can’t make this work to cover the first two lines. Is there a way I can use a style to work in the same way, or perhaps use a block on each line, but so they exactly line up? I tried using two text blocks, but they do not touch, but leave a small gap, no matter what the wrap object settings.
I am sorry if this is not the easiest thing to understand, it’s quite hard for me to explain. If I can upload an image a screenshot will be much clearer to grasp the idea.
