This Week in InDesign Articles, Number 95
Some cozy InDesign articles to keep you warm on these ever-colder evenings!
I just had a wonderful demo from Adobe about some new technology updates for Creative Cloud users and I have to say that I’m excited! We’re going to go into more details as soon as we can. But in the meantime, here’s a bunch of awesome articles that you should take a look at!
- Nigel French has a great article (excerpted from InDesign Magazine) on designing a poster. Of course, I love the subject matter he chose!
- Claudia McCue wrote a wonderful piece on the Alternate Layout feature in CS6 for InDesign Magazine. If you haven’t read it, you can here!
- Speaking of CS6 features, Anne-Marie did a nice video for lynda.com the Content Conveyor, which you can watch for free here.
- This is a fun facebook thread to read: You know you’re officially hooked on InDesign when?
- Ron Bilodeau wrote a good piece on some of the technical aspects of numbered lists in InDesign-generated EPUB.
- Adobe Press released this free article about Working with Transparency Effects in Adobe InDesign CS6
- Like Typography? Here’s a great article about what’s hot in typesetting these days.
- PressRun (now owned by Quark) has a great solution for creating an iPad app from InDesign. They’ve released a few videos showing how easy it is. (You can’t mistake that voice? it’s our own Bob L.!)
- You’ve heard of 50 shades of grey, right? Here’s a book even better: 99 Shades of Gray, a kickstarter project.
- Have you seen FontShop’s plug-in for InDesign? It lets you preview fonts, and works in CS5 and later.
- You’ve gotta’ take a look at the new VIGC Output Essentials tool — it’s free, it’s easy to install and use, and it’ll help anyone doing prepress work.
Enjoy!
