This Week in InDesign Articles, Number 48
A few links, including some time-sensitive offers!
It’s that wonderfully quiet time between xmas and new years, when we’re all stuffed with leftovers and just want to play with our new toys. (I love that my new electric guitar amp has a push-button setting for “insane.”) But InDesign never sleeps! So while this is a much shorter list than usual, I do feel compelled to send it out into the world for your reading pleasure. Plus, there are some time-sensitive news items on here!
- Our friend Brian Wood is running a one-hour free class called From Print to Web, Becoming Web Fluent next week. Check it out!
- Mike McHugh of Adobe downunder talks about setting tabs in this video.
- Hey, Peachpit is offering Claudia McCue’s Fearless Flash book at a super low price on their deals page this week only!
- For those of you following the whole eBook thing, this overview of Google’s new eBookstore at The Economist (including how “open” it is) by Glenn Fleishman is interesting.
- Marijan Tompa is preparing to take the ACE exam, and like so many other InDesigners, he opted to use Mike Rankin’s Exam Guide. He had the old one, but now the new guide is out!
- Do you print? Do you use colored type? If so, read Jim Felici’s new article about avoiding blurry text when printing colored type.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out our 2011 Print and ePublishing Conference in Washington DC, May 23-25. It’s going to be great! See you there!
