Well, David … Based on what I’m doing the answer is “yes” … AND “no.”

If I created a blank document (300 pages), and I got to “place,” I can select an InDesign document. Check the “import options” box so you can see everything.

Now, the cursor loads with the document pages, and a PAINTBRUSH appears. Click and place a page.

Unfortunately, once I place the page, I can’t edit it. It appears like a graphic, but the links panel highlights both the Indesign document and any graphic contained within. So, apparently you can edit the original, and the link will update … it’s similar to editing a graphic in photoshop, and updating in InDesign.

Keep in mind, I’m still using CS3 …
