PrintSoft to Showcase Software for Web-based Transpromotional and Desktop Mail Workflows at Graph Expo 2006
PrintSoft (www.printsoft.com) today announced it will showcase innovative new solutions at Graph Expo 2006 that enable print service providers and service bureaus to extend web-based offerings to their clients for both transpromotional and ad-hoc personalized corporate communications.
Demonstrations in the PrintSoft booth # 5246 on the Graph Expo show floor, October 15-18 in Chicago, will feature the company’s award-winning DeskDirect software, along with a newly available Web-based front-end, PrintSoft WebDirect, that simplifies implementation of transpromotional campaigns for corporate clients.
Various PrintSoft solutions will also be demonstrated in partner booths featuring integrated applications that highlight the unique capabilities of PrintSoft software in workflows with partner products. In the HP booth, PrintSoft NEWLEAF will be demonstrated in a direct mail application with an HP Indigo press. A PrintSoft solution for the Kern EasyMailer mail-processing system will be demonstrated in a direct mail application featuring the unique EasyMailer envelopes. Output from the application will be available in the TPS Solutions booth, as well as at the PrintSoft booth. In the Kodak booth, a PrintSoft application for highly-personalized transpromotional statements will be demonstrated with a Kodak Versamark high-volume inkjet printer. The latest PrintSoft offerings are ideally suited to service providers looking for a cost-effective, scalable solution for building new revenue streams, maximizing automated production, and integrating web-based collaborative authoring for high-value transpromotional applications.
PrintSoft DeskDirect is a breakthrough product that allows low-volume, template-driven, personalized documents to be aggregated on centralized servers for sorting and production in high-speed production printing environments. This unique solution creates new business opportunities for service providers to leverage their existing digital technology and expertise for exceptional profit and growth potential. It also provides end-customers with high-value return, through labor and production cost savings, improved brand control, and fastest possible delivery. PrintSoft DeskDirect has garnered several awards this year including the 2006 XPLOR Technology Application of the Year award and the 2006 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award for excellence in innovation.
PrintSoft also plans to demonstrate Web-based workflows for transpromotional applications, with the premier of PrintSoft WebDirect. WebDirect is a completely new Web authoring environment that features online previews, conditional message creation and editing, date-range triggers, approval workflows, and version management. WebDirect provides un-matched flexibility in the collaborative authoring process, including the ability for end-users to create and preview conditional messages that seamlessly integrate text, graphical and image elements. More information about WebDirect will be made available during the show.
"At Graph Expo we are showing an end-to-end scalable solution that enables service providers to capitalize on new business opportunities," commented Mark Worsley, PrintSoft CEO. "With DeskDirect, there is a huge opportunity for service providers to capture new business in corporate ‘white mail’ business process automation. With the addition of WebDirect, service providers can offer state-of-the-art capabilities in both desktop mail management and web-based transpromotional document management in a single platform."
About DeskDirect
DeskDirect provides a unique way to handle non-bulk printed mail communications. Users simply fill in a template, attach a mail list, and then press send. They create documents on their desktop but instead of printing them locally on desktop printers, documents are electronically sent to a print service provider or centralized print production facility where they can be aggregated and sorted for production and mailing.
DeskDirect is designed to displace labor- and time-intensive departmental desktop printing workloads in corporate environments by redirecting the workflows into highly automated production printing locations. It eliminates desktop printing, folding and enveloping, saving costs and time. It reduces employee time, postage costs and lowers the cost of print consumables such as toner cartridges thereby delivering in a high return on investment for desktop mail authors and creators. This means corporations can save millions of dollars a year.
DeskDirect can also be used by print service bureaus to centrally control the content and appearance of direct mail letters and to automate production, resulting higher quality mail at a lower cost. It ensures corporate standards are met while making it easier for users to create and mail many different types of documents. Print providers also benefit from the ability to consolidate numerous small jobs into cost-effective production batches. For more information about PrintSoft DeskDirect, visit www.deskdirect.net.
