Printable Wood
If you’re looking to make your next print project stand out, you might consider printing on something a little more exotic than paper. How about going a closer to the source and printing right on wood?

Nissiwood Veneers uses microthin wood technology that allow printing directly on wood with a digital printer. At woodcards.net, you can order business cards, post cards, bookmarks, wedding cards, greeting cards, tags, swipe cards, bookmarks, and even envelopes, printed on 15 different species of wood.

A basic order of 100 business cards printed on a common wood species costs $21. Printing those same cards on exotic or fragrant species of wood (like mahogany or Rosewood) costs $30.
Options include screen printing in one or two inks, full color digital printing, laser engraving and cutting, and corner rounding.
And since printing on wood is as much about the tactile experience as the visual, so you can request free samples to literally get a feel for this technology.
