Photoshop TV Launches to Immediate Success
On Monday, October 24, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) launched a new video podcast — Photoshop TV.
Hosted by the “Photoshop Guys” (Scott Kelby, Dave Cross and Matt Kloskowski), Photoshop TV immediately began climbing the charts of Apple’s iTunes podcasts to hit number 2 on October 28, leaving heavyweights such as NPR, Al Franken and ESPN in their dust. The cast saw over 6,200 subscribers in its first 72 hours.
The free cast is a half-hour guide to Adobe® Photoshop®, digital photography and imaging. Photoshop TV offers viewers tutorials and quick tips for mastering Photoshop, presented as well as creative industry news and interviews.
As the president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, editor-in-chief of its official publication, Photoshop User magazine, editor-in-chief of Layers magazine and one of the world’s best-selling authors of instructional Photoshop books, Scott Kelby brings his own interesting, if sometimes off-beat perspective to Photoshop TV.
Flanked by fellow gurus, Dave Cross and Matt Kloskowski, Kelby’s new effort appears to be well on its way to becoming one of iTunes’ most popular casts.
The second episode of Photoshop TV is in the process of being finalized and will be made available to subscribers and new listeners alike on Monday, October 31.
The cast’s premiere episode is available from www.photoshopguys.com and is being featured on www.layersmagazine.com and www.photoshopuser.com.
