pdf-Office Professional 5.5: Many Improvements in Graphics Handling
An innovative software package for creating and working with PDF forms and documents, pdf-Office Professional is due to be released in its new Version 5.5 for Windows and Macintosh platforms. The flagship product of Neuss-based UNIVERSE Software GmbH includes significant improvements in image processing, which can now correct most of the errors in imported graphics.
The stated aim of pdf-Office Professional is to make creating PDF forms as easy as possible, its intuitive user interface supporting especially those users that only occasionally need to create PDF forms.
Since the files that the software produces are a hundred-percent compatible PDF, the software’s range of functionality covers everything that the user will need when viewing and working with the form in Acrobat Reader – whether this involves text, number or calculation entries, selection boxes, list boxes or a variety of other controls. All of the possibilities available in PDF forms up to complex programming are already integrated into the software.
If required, forms can also be created from scratch as with MS Word, using texts, images and fields, or based on a template that can import PDF, JPG, BMP, TIFF, GIF, ONM, PNG and FPX formats. A few clicks of the mouse are all that is needed to add interactive user controls to the forms resulting in professional PDF forms – no training required. Once created, the forms can be altered or added to at any time using pdf-Office Professional.
The image processing improvements in Version 5.5 mainly affect imported image data already existing in another format, which can now be resized (graphically and numerically, proportionally and non-proportionally), positioned by XY coordinates, or restored to their original size by pressing a button. Other improvements include tab-sequence control and automatic error removal on image import.
