If you’re not hungry now, chances are you will be by the time you finish reading this post as we take a look at some creative works involving Pantone colors and food.
Photographer Alison Anselot has created a mouth-watering series of images pairing food items with the closest-matching Pantone color. You can see the whole series and more of her work at her website, alisonanselot.com.
For an inspired pairing of cuisine and color, check out Designboom’s look the work of French food designer Emilie de Griottes who created a series of tarts representing Pantone swatches.
Better still, you can even make these tarts yourself, as the recipes are available in Fricote Magazine issue # 6 .
If you want something a little easier, you can whip up a batch of Pantone cookies with little more than some store bought cookie dough, royal icing, and food coloring. Several sites offer recipes, but none better than kimcreativestar.com, which even offers tips on creating metallic swatch cookies.
