Optimize Uploads of Georeferenced Photos
locr is continuously offering new geotagging software solutions for Apple Macintosh, Windows PCs, and mobile phones. The new locr “DropBox 1.0” for Mac OS X allows users to upload photos directly from the desktop to the locr website, using drag & drop. Within the locr community people from all over the world share their travel experiences. Photo locations are displayed on digital maps and information about motif and surroundings are provided.
The small, innovative application particularly simplifies uploading several photos. After starting the program simply drag your photos into the DropBox window. The high-performance upload starts immediately, and transfers multiple files in parallel. All locr settings such as keywords, descriptions, image size, password or privacy status will be transferred automatically.
The locr Dropbox allows the upload of various formats such as TIFF, various RAW, PSD, PNG. The integrated converter automatically converts all files to locr appropriated JPEGs. All meta data like previously added geotags will be transferred directly to locr along with the photos.
After the successful upload all photo URLs are displayed. Double-clicking on any URL opens the locr website showing the selected photo. Additionaly, that URL is stored in the Finder and Spotlight comment for the original file for further reference.
