New Poser Now Available
Smith Micro has released two new versions of its Poser software, which is designed to help you create and animate 3D figures: the $250 Poser 9 and $500 Poser Pro 2012. The updated software includes several new features that, frankly, I can barely pronounce, much less explain. But then, I’m not a 3D artist. Those new goodies include the following:
• Vertex Weight Map Rigging support
• Vertex Weight Map Editing Tool Suite
• Subsurface Scattering
• Rendering Performance Improvements
• FireFly Render Engine
• Updated PoserFusion plugins and COLLADA support
For intelligible definitions of these and other new features, visit the Poser site.
If you purchase the software before September 30, 2011, you’ll get a 20% discount.
