New Layout Editor for RapidWeaver

YourHead Software has announced the release of Stacks 1.0, a new page style plug-in for RapidWeaver, the popular web site creation tool for Mac OS X. Stacks 1.0 brings powerful, fluid layout editing to RapidWeaver. Users can create flexible web pages using a simple drag and drop interface. Stacks also comes with a library of simple building blocks so users can immediately begin creating complex layouts. A full featured demo is available for free.
Stacks allows users to build web pages by placing elements from the Stacks Library anywhere onto their web page layout. Elements can be moved, resized, styled, and even nested inside each other. Pages built with Stacks are completely flexible and flow their content to fit the dimensions of any RapidWeaver theme. Thus, if users change themes, they do not need to relayout their web pages to fit the new dimensions.
Complex tasks, such as creating columns or tables and using floating images, that in the past required extensive knowledge and expensive tools are now are easy with Stacks. Even novice users can create complex pages using the set of basic building blocks provided in the Stacks Library. The Stacks Library ships with elements for text, images, html, columns, and floating images, among others. Most elements can be nested inside other elements for limitless layout possibilities.
Stacks builds web pages from 100% valid xHTML and CSS. Stacks doesn’t use Flash, scripts, or gimmicks. Pages built with Stacks work with all modern browsers and even Internet Explorer for Windows.
A published API allows power users to build their own Stacks Library elements from CSS and HTML. Custom elements can include HTML, Javascript and can even add controls to the Stacks user interface.
