Ever wish you could use keyboard shortcuts to align selected objects? You can! You just have to assign your own shortcuts to the align commands, since they have none by default. Here’s how.

Choose Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts

In the dialog box, choose or create a new custom set of shortcuts.

Choose Product Area > Object Editing.

Then for each alignment command you want to add a shortcut for, select the command in the list, put your cursor in the New Shortcut field, type the shortcut, and click Assign.

When you’re done, click OK to save the changes to the set.

Then, any time you have multiple objects selected in a layout, you can use your shortcuts to align them.
