Increased Profitability Doesn't Have to Come at the Expense of Great Creative

Seminars in New York and Chicago over the coming weeks will give Creative industry heads a chance to learn a thing or two about managing talent and managing the creative process to maximize profitability.
The Seminars, which will be hosted by the British Consul General and Sohnar’s Managing Director Tracey Shirtcliff, are based on the company’s experience and learnings, gained from working with advertising and design agencies around the world.
"Regardless of what market they’re in, creative businesses face a common set of problems," says Tracey Shirtcliff. "The biggest challenge of all is balancing financial efficiency with the flexibility in time and resources that’s needed to produce great creative … But a happy marriage between the two is possible."
Seminar attendees will also get a first-hand look at Sohnar’s Traffic software, which boast market leadership in Australia and the UK, and is designed especially for the creative industry. Traffic is an agency-management, time management and CRM system all in one. It links directly to financial software packages to provide accurate reporting for quoting and billing.
"Traffic is a single organisation-wide solution that gives instant access to information, supports consistency of service and enables the the marginal analysis you need to control profitability," says Ms Shirtcliff. "It’s also designed with creatives in mind – simple to use and nice to look at."
Traffic has achieved 5 out of 5 mice from MacUser and 5 out of 5 stars from MacWorld. The software is used by over 2,200 creatives, tracking 56,000 jobs across 9 countries.
