Ideate Is New iPad Sketching Application
Press Release
EffectiveUI has launched Ideate, a sketching application for the iPad that helps people collaboratively bring their ideas to life. You can download it from Apple’s App Store for $3.99.
Ideate is one of the first applications created specifically for the iPad.
Photos and other images can be uploaded from the user’s photo album or the Web and used as templates or additions to sketches.
Sketches can be shared with others via e-mail or by uploading to Flickr.
The application is unique because of the templates and the library of clips and icons it offers for several different audiences:
* User Interface Designers: Interface templates provide a starting point for application development
* Doodlers: Blank slates, grids and even tic-tac-toe templates beckon the best scribbles and sketches
* Landscape Architects: Easily demonstrate how shrubs, trees and rocks will beautify a landscape
* Musicians: Scores provide a quick way to capture a tune before it’s forgotten
* Physicians: Diagrams of different systems and body parts help medical professionals illustrate diagnoses
* Fashion Designers: Model templates help bring next season’s hottest fashions to life
* Coaches: From hockey to basketball to soccer, field templates help team leaders visualize their plays
