Getting Started with Adobe Apps? Here’s Help
Adobe has released a series of short video courses targeted at first-time users of the company’s Creative Cloud applications.
If there’s an Adobe app you’ve wanted to try out, these focused, hands-on courses could be a useful introduction. In addition to instructional video, they also include downloadable sample files and even keyboard shortcut cheat sheets.
For example, one of the Getting Started tutorials takes first-time Illustrator users through the process of designing a logo using vector artwork. While you won’t walk away with a nuanced understanding of Illustrator or logo design, you may gain enough confidence to continue exploring the app.
You’re not left on your own after you finish the course: Adobe points you toward more free tutorials and a forum where you can ask questions.
So far, there are eight Getting Started projects:
- Create your first website with Adobe Muse
- Create your first After Effects project
- Build and style a web page in Dreamweaver
- Build an animated web banner in Edge Animate
- Design a logo with Adobe Illustrator
- Create your first brochure with InDesign
- Edit your first photo with Photoshop
- Create a video story with Premiere Pro
