Merging the Baroque with the Geometric, the high contrast Serif with the monoline Sans, the Fun with the Functional–ARS Novelty is a sign of things to come. This is an hybrid sample of several projects currently in production, demonstrating that they both can coexist simultaneously and even compliment each other, while maintaining a contemporary edge.
ARS Novelty contains only lowercase characters–it makes use of the Uppercase for the Sans characters, and the Lowercase for the hybrid Sans & Serif characters. It also includes two sets of punctuation as well as tabular and proportional Oldstyle numerals were made to fit the two variations.
Armed with a good set of OpenType stylistic features and ligatures, ARS Novelty fits right at home when used for headlines and short text verses to gracefully draw attention to your message. The more adventures among you may be pleasantly surprised to find out how well it works for even longer paragraphs of text!
