The top new features include:

  • Support for the latest Adobe Creative Cloud applications, with auto-activation plug-ins and panels
  • A new QuickComp feature to instantly create design mock-ups showing different font combinations directly within Suitcase Fusion
  • An updated QuickMatch feature that makes it faster than ever to find similar fonts, either in a local font collection, or in Web font collections like WebINK and Google Web Fonts

Creative Cloud Compatibility

Brand new font auto-activation plug-ins and panels for Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications give users of Suitcase Fusion 5 the ability to instantly access fonts and font sets right within the Adobe applications. The new plug-ins use Font Sense™ technology to idenitfy, locate, and activate the exact fonts needed for the job (no more “Missing Fonts” dialog boxes).

QuickComp

To reduce the amount of time and effort involved in testing fonts in design prototypes, the new QuickComp feature allows users to show font combinations side-by-side directly within Suitcase Fusion using a set of sample templates for common jobs. No more creating throwaway comps just for the purpose of testing fonts.

Web Font Access

Suitcase Fusion 5 is integrated with web font services, like WebINK and Google Web Fonts, so fonts from those services appear right in the in-app font panel, offering access to more than 6500 web fonts without ever leaving your work.

QuickMatch

The QuickMatch feature has been updated to produce faster, more precise results when searching for similar fonts. It includes a full database of the unique metrics of each font, so designers can search for similar fonts in their collections or from the web font collections.

Extras

A new license allows users to install Suitcase Fusion 5 on two machines. And FontDoctor, the utliity for detecting and repairing damaged fonts, is included free.
