Award-winning educator Randall Cornish has created a 10-minute Flash movie about OpenType fonts, and three PDF pamphlets about topics of interest to both graphic design students and professionals.
“How to Discover Hidden Font Treasures” is a fun 10-minute Flash movie that showcases eleven different OpenType font features, including small caps, swashes and oldstyle figures. It’s saved in the QuickTime movie format and has an upbeat soundtrack with Hot Club-style music.
“The movie and pamphlets are very informative,” says Cornish, “but most of all I hope students and professionals have fun looking at my attempt to use bold design and page layout techniques.”
The PDF pamphlet, “How to Write a Creative Brief,” helps designers plan and manage projects. “How to Write an Artist’s Statement” helps designers build self confidence. “How to Mount Art for Presentation” helps designers make a good first impression.
The movie sells for $3.99 and the pamphlets are $1.79 each. They can be purchased at www.RCOcreative.com/shop.
