Deneba Canvas 7
Deneba’s Canvas combines illustration, image editing, page layout features, and Web design tools. With the latest version, Canvas 7.0, released last October and boasting over 150 new features, Deneba introduced their innovative SpriteEffects, which allow users to apply image editing filters to any object, be it vector, text, bitmap, or even groups of objects, while allowing the objects to remain fully editable. Some new drawing tools make life easier: Auto Curve creates smooth curves with clicks from the mouse; and Reshape allows one to edit curves simply by dragging the mouse. In addition, a new Cache Selection command sets an onscreen resolution to speed up the redrawing of complex images. In all, graphic artists and designers alike will find the improvements in Canvas 7.0 a refreshing new level of functionality.
Ben Wilson, of MacCentral online, calls Canvas 7 the “all in one publishing tool.” Read his review here.
Meanwhile, Ben Long, of Macworld, although giving the software a good rating (8 out of 10) presents some valid reservations – read his review here.
All the above information and more can be found on the Canvas 7 product page here on creativepro.com.
