Creative Hiring May Grow in Third Quarter of 2011
The Creative Group has updated its Hiring Index for Marketing and Advertising Professionals. It shows that 19 percent of the marketing and advertising executives surveyed plan to add full-time staff in the next three months. That’s a 10-point gain from the second-quarter survey. The index also reports that 87 percent of executives feel good about growth prospects in the third quarter.
The specialties most desired for Q3 are Web design/production, brand/product management, and print design/production. Interestingly, 42 percent of the people surveyed complained that it’s hard to find those skilled professionals. Since plenty of people are looking for work, that may mean that employers are looking for training and capabilities that go beyond the traditional. It’s a fast-moving world out there.
