Countdown to PePcon

One of my jobs as Editor in Chief of InDesign Magazine is to find and send out an InDesign Tip of the Week to email subscribers. And after more than a decade of using and teaching InDesign, I know that the best tips aren’t necessarily the super-nerdy obscurities. That’s why I try to find tips that could help the greatest number of InDesign users. If I were pressed to come up with the single best InDesign tip of all time, the Mother Of All Tips, to help any InDesign user regardless of their level of experience or specific needs, it would be this: Go to PePcon, the Print and ePublishing Conference. This year’s event is coming up soon, taking place from April 28–May 1 in Austin, Texas.

Go for the sessions, which offer the most important, practical information on a full range of topics for InDesign users from EPUB, DPS, and tablet publishing, to prepress, PDF, design, and typography.

Go for the half-day workshops, which offer detailed, deep dives and plenty of time for questions and answers.

Go for the speakers, who in addition to being insanely knowledgeable, also happen to be friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in sharing what they know.

Go for the chance to have lunch with the people who make InDesign, Adobe’s product development team.

Go for the networking opportunities, which can lead to future clients, business partners, and lasting friendships.

Go for the chance to take the stage and present your big ideas during the Ignite InDesign event.

Go for the goodies, which include $300 worth of products and services, plus meals, a PDF handbook of all the session handouts, and chances to win all kinds of prizes including the Adobe Master Collection.

And finally, go to be part of the growing PePcon community of inspiring, successful creative professionals who are passionate about their work and learning how to do it faster and better than ever.

So what does it cost to go to PePcon? There are four options, as follows:

  • a 2-day conference pass offering access to over 20 sessions is $895.
  • Conference plus choice of one pre-conference tutorial: $1095
  • Conference plus choice of two post-conference tutorials: $1,195
  • GOLD PASS: Four days, choice of any tutorials and conference session: $1,395
  • Discounts are available for groups of 3 or more.

You can learn more details, and register for the conference here.

Hope to see you in Austin!
