Callas pdfCorrect 2.0 Allows Flexible Adjustment of Correction Profiles
On the occasion of Print & Converting 05, callas software (booth 7263) launches an updated version of it’s Acrobat Plug-In pdfCorrect, providing advanced options to fix PDF problems according to individual demands. pdfCorrect 2.0 is available as of 9th of September, the price will remain the same: a single user license is 149 EURO, updating for pdfCorrect customers is free of charge.
The professional editing tool, which is available for Acrobat 6 and 7 (and can be run under Windows 2000/XP and Mac OS X), detects and corrects numerous PDF problems – a preflight check pinpoints them, pdfCorrect solves them in a few seconds. The tool puts an end to production show stoppers and helps to avoid dissatisfying print and output results.
Additional features enable pdfCorrect 2.0 users to fine-tune processing, since every output condition is adjustable now. Profiles like "prepare for sheet CMYK" or "prepare for web printing" can now be edited flexibly. Users may, for example, determine individual image downsampling resolutions or how objects and annotations are to be handled. An "ask" option can be activated for every output condition in order to display it before applying to a PDF file. Despite of these new options, pdfCorrect 2.0 is still very easy to use and suits publishers, pre-press experts and creative professionals wanting to ensure PDF production and processing.
