Book-Design Contest Call for Entries
AIGA’s 50 Books/50 Covers of 2008 is a time-honored competition that aims to identify the 50 best-designed books and book covers of 2008. Selections are made by a distinguished jury of design exemplars, becoming part of the AIGA Design Archives and a traveling exhibition that debuts at the AIGA National Design Center.
Deadline: March 6, 2009
Late deadline: March 27, 2009 (late entry fees apply)

1. Select a channel according to what your entry actually is—a book or a cover;
2. Select a category.
* Literature and nonfiction (books you read)
* Image-driven books (books you look at)
* Limited-edition and fine-press books (books that are objects)
* Instructional books and textbooks (books that teach)
* Reference books (books you consult)
* Children’s books
For AIGA members, the fee for entering one to four books is $35 per entry. If you’re not an AIGA member, the fee for entering one to four books is $55 per entry.
