Flickr Friday: September 11, 2009
The creator of this week’s featured image is a freelance photographer and stock art contributor. You’ll believe it when you examine his photo of smoke, which is just as good or better than the smoke images you can buy on many stock photo Web sites.
Yet, Jordan McCullough (whose Flickr handle is Ambient Ideas) assigned a Creative Commons license to this shot that not only grants you the right to copy, distribute, and transmit the photo, but to adapt it as you see fit, as well. All he asks is proper attribution.
While the size of the CreativePro.com page forces me to show you the image at this small size, you can download the image at 2336 pixels x 3504 pixels from Flickr.

To nominate an image for upcoming Flickr Fridays, click the Comments button. Before we can consider an image, however, it must be approved for sharing under the Creative Commons license. (That searching option is part of Flickr’s Advanced Search page.)
