ACR Version Control for Windows
Ben Long at www.completedigitalphotography.com has posted a Windows version of his ACR Version Control package. For raw shooters who use Adobe Camera Raw as their raw converter, this free set of applications makes it simple to create and manage multiple versions of the same raw document. Through clever file naming and management, ACR Version Control duplicates and renames the sidecar XMP files that hold the conversion settings for your raw files. This means you can easily create multiple XMP files for the same image, and easily switch from one to the other.
The package includes three small applications: Create New Version, Set Current Version, and Delete Version. Simply drag an existing XMP file onto any one of these to create, activate, or delete a version.
The package is available for immediate download from: https://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=455
Macintosh users can download the Mac version from: https://www.completedigitalphotography.com/?p=430
The software is free, but you’ll get a warm fuzzy feeling if you make a donation using the Paypal link at the bottom of either page.
