    Hello,
    I’m trying to convert a ePub to Mobi. I’ve been using the code below to add the TOC. But when I converted the file and viewed the publication on Kindle fire, the TOC was grayed out. This code has been working before. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks in advance!

    I faced the same problem once while generating mobi from epub by dragging epub on kindle previewer. I resolved this problem by generating the mobi using Kindlegen.exe instead of using kindle previewer to generate mobi. See if this helps you.

      Thank you very much for your help! Were you using a PC? For the Mac version, I have to use Terminal and it didn’t seem to work for me. Do you know anything about this issue? Thank you!

      Hi

      Have you tried opening a new Terminal window, dragging the KindleGen Icon (should be like a little grey terminal.app icon) into the window, then drag your books icon (the epub file) into the Terminal window also. If necessary, hit RETURN and it should be processed! Check it with Calibre or Kindle Previewer.
