text frame only on odd pages of a spread

      A very strange thing has happened: On a one-column two-page spread, I have super-autoflowed text from various MS Word documents. The first of these stories went well.

      However, the second story has added pages on the right (odd) pages only, leaving all the left (even) pages empty. There is no text frame on the left pages, but the ones on the right pages are linked.

      Now I could, of course, manually drag the text frames and create properly flowing text, but I wonder what has happened in the first place. Any idea?
