We are doing package layout in InDesign for one of our accounts; and we have started outlining the text rather than sending fonts. I find that when I select all the text boxes (with the selection tool) and convert to outlines, something does not convert so that when I look at the Find Font window it still lists all the fonts. I think what is not converting are returns. How do I fix this problem?

Outlining fonts is somewhat archaic, but if your printer insists on it, you might try using a transparency flattener workflow instead. Otherwise, you may actually lose things you need, like paragraph rules or bullets. You'll have to put a transparent object on the page somewhere to force it to flatten, but you can put it in a margin where it won't be seen. Check out this post (and read all the comments) for a better explanation than I can give: https://creativepro.com/con…..ht-way.php

      Please reconsider your workflow.

Try sending PDFs instead. But if you have to do this, select the text with the type tool and then convert it.

Please see this blog post about whether to outline fonts or not:

then, if you still want to outline fonts, use this technique to make your PDF files:
